I'm playing as an adept, my old Mass Effect standby, and it's incredible how much more fun the PC version is to play.

Exploring and aiming feels much better now. Pulled back the FOV to 85 (I'd prefer 90-100, but FOV affects conversations, which causes problems with geometry not loading and the camera sitting far away from the characters). It is such an immense improvement, in nearly literally every way. Playing it on PC now is like a revelation. Speaking of which, my only prior ME experience has been on 360. It's not severe (98% of the time it's still 60fps), but when a dip occurs it's very noticeable. My 5870 stumbles a few times with texmod. Some body spec maps and normal maps previously 2k are now 4k to better capture details. What's changed are edits by CDAMJC as follows:Īdded face and scalp normal maps to bring out more details from JeanLuc's texturesįixed neck clipping in which the skin would show through Miranda's black collar (this is an engine/game bug -not really fixed but greatly hidden with some texture work-)Īdded more detail to romance outfit, fixed bra straps and normal map artifacting, added more details to match non romance version (hexagons and fabric patterns), and added detail to skin.
